A good brief is two sentences
You don't need to write us a spec. Two sentences will do: what you do and who it's for.
Plenty of people put off getting in touch because they think they should first know their sitemap, features and platform. You shouldn't. Working those out is our job, and we'd rather do it in a conversation than a form.
Once the two sentences exist, the rest is a half-hour call. After that you get a fixed quote, and you know exactly what you're signing up for.
